Bơ cho vào chảo ở lửa vừa, đun chảy, để nguội. Bột mì (Cake flour) rây cho mịn rồi cho vào tô, mix đều với đường và muối. Sau đó cho trứng gà vào, dùng cây đứng trứng mix cho hỗn hợp đều và mịn. Rồi cho sữa vào hỗn hợp trên. Lưu ý, ko cho sữa vào hết trong cùng lúc mà chia thành 2 lần, rồi dùng cây đánh trứng mix đều. Cuối cùng cho bơ đun chảy vào và đánh đều lên. Dùng chảo không dính, quét 1 lớp bơ mỏng lên chảo, rồi múc khoảng 1 muỗng canh bột tráng đều lên chảo.
Khi bánh chín và tróc chảo, thì ta trở mặt bánh. Để trở mặt bánh, những đầu bếp chuyên nghiệp sẽ dùng thủ thuật hất chảo cho bánh văng lên cao, rồi rớt xuống, trở mặt lại.
Mặt bánh sau khi trở ngược nướng thêm vài giây nữa thì ta đổ bánh ra dĩa.
